Compact ultrasonic cleaning for reusable medical instruments
The Midmark QuickClean QC1 is a compact tabletop ultrasonic cleaner designed to support the cleaning stage of reusable-instrument processing in physician offices, urgent-care centers, outpatient clinics, procedure rooms, and specialty practices.
With a 1.2-gallon working capacity, digital controls, a stainless-steel safety basket, programmable cycle settings, and automatic low-water detection, the QC1 provides a practical instrument-cleaning solution for facilities with limited counter space and moderate processing volumes.
The QuickClean QC1 removes debris from compatible reusable instruments before rinsing, drying, inspection, packaging, and sterilization. It is an ultrasonic cleaner and does not sterilize instruments.
Frequency-Leap ultrasonic cleaning technology
The QC1 uses Midmark Frequency-Leap technology to distribute ultrasonic cleaning activity throughout the bath.
The ultrasonic waves create microscopic cavitation bubbles in the cleaning solution. As the bubbles collapse, they help loosen debris from instrument surfaces, joints, hinges, serrations, and other areas that may be difficult to reach through manual cleaning alone.
All instruments and accessories must be confirmed as compatible with ultrasonic cleaning according to their individual instructions for use.
Digital LCD control panel
The digital LCD control panel displays operating prompts and allows staff to select preset or customized cycle settings.
The unit stores the previous cycle setting, helping facilities maintain a repeatable cleaning process without re-entering the preferred cycle time before every load.
Cleaning-cycle time can be adjusted from 1 to 99 minutes. The factory-programmed cleaning cycle is 10 minutes and may be adjusted according to instrument condition, cleaning-solution instructions, and facility procedures.
Automatic low-water detection
An integrated fluid sensor monitors the solution level inside the tank.
When the liquid level is insufficient, the cleaner displays an alert and prevents the ultrasonic cycle from running until the bath is properly filled. This feature helps protect the unit and supports consistent operation.
Degas-cycle capability
Freshly prepared cleaning solution may contain dissolved air that can reduce ultrasonic cleaning performance.
The QC1 includes a degas function that allows trapped air bubbles to rise out of the solution before instruments are loaded. Midmark recommends running the degas cycle without instruments and indicates that approximately 5 to 10 minutes may be appropriate for preparing fresh solution.
Stainless-steel safety basket
A full-size stainless-steel safety basket is included with the QC1.
The basket keeps instruments suspended above the tank bottom during operation. Instruments should not be placed directly on the bottom of the ultrasonic tank because direct contact may interfere with cleaning performance or damage the equipment.
The basket provides internal working dimensions of approximately 10.4 inches long, 4.5 inches wide, and 4.3 inches high.
Compact tabletop footprint
The QC1 measures approximately 13.5 inches long, 10.2 inches wide including the drain, and 10.4 inches high.
Its compact size allows it to fit into instrument-processing rooms, procedure areas, utility spaces, and clinical workrooms where countertop space is limited.
The cleaner weighs approximately 12.7 lb, with an approximate shipping weight of 14.6 lb.
Integrated drain system
The tabletop cleaner includes a drain hose and hose connector to support controlled removal of used cleaning solution.
Cleaning liquid should be changed according to the type and volume of instruments being processed. The tank, basket, exterior surfaces, and drain components should be maintained according to the official user guide.
Supports a standardized instrument-processing workflow
The QuickClean QC1 is intended for the cleaning stage of a complete instrument-processing workflow.
After ultrasonic cleaning, reusable instruments should be rinsed, dried, inspected for remaining debris or damage, packaged when required, and processed in a compatible sterilizer according to the instrument manufacturer’s instructions.
An ultrasonic cleaner does not replace a steam sterilizer, cleaning-solution requirements, manual inspection, sterilization monitoring, or facility infection-control procedures.
