Fast automatic testing

The MicroTymp 4 automatically begins recording a tympanogram once an adequate seal is achieved in the ear canal.

Each ear can be tested in as little as approximately three seconds. Four-button navigation allows the clinician to select the left ear, right ear, or both ears and move through the testing and result-review workflow. Tympanometry measurements

Rechargeable handheld operation

The handheld tympanometer uses an internal rechargeable nickel-metal hydride battery pack.

A fully charged device can capture up to approximately 100 recordings. The supplied charging cradle connects to 100–240 VAC power at 50/60 Hz and provides visual indicators for mains power and battery charging status. The internal battery is not intended to be replaced by the user.

Pediatric-friendly workflow

Fast automatic testing, multiple disposable ear-tip sizes, and simple four-button navigation make the MicroTymp 4 suitable for pediatric and adult middle-ear assessment.

The patient should remain still and avoid talking, swallowing, or moving while the probe is positioned. A new single-use ear tip must be selected for each tested ear and fitted securely without blocking the probe openings.
