Folding standard wheelchair for routine patient mobility

The Everest & Jennings Advantage LX 3H020120 is a folding manual wheelchair designed for routine mobility in clinics, physician offices, outpatient facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation environments, and other healthcare settings.

This configuration provides an 18-inch-wide by 16-inch-deep seat, detachable desk-length arms, detachable swingaway footrests, black padded nylon upholstery, and a durable carbon-steel frame with a silver-vein hammertone finish.

The wheelchair supports up to 300 lb when weight is evenly distributed. Its detachable arms and swingaway footrests help support patient transfers, positioning, storage, and access to desks or tables.

Detachable desk-length arms

The padded desk-length arms can be removed to support lateral transfers and patient access.

Their shorter profile allows the wheelchair to move closer to compatible desks, examination surfaces, and tables than a full-length arm configuration.

The arm assemblies must be fully secured before the wheelchair is occupied or moved.

Detachable swingaway footrests

The front rigging can be swung outward or removed during patient transfers and storage.

Heel loops are included with the swingaway footrests to help maintain foot positioning. The footplates must be adjusted to provide appropriate ground clearance and must never be used as steps during transfers.

Folding carbon-steel frame

The Advantage LX uses a folding carbon-steel frame designed for durability and routine clinical use.

The chair folds to approximately 11.5 inches wide after the front rigging is removed, helping simplify storage and transport between locations.

Padded nylon upholstery

The selected configuration includes black padded nylon upholstery with a chart pocket positioned on the back.

The upholstery and frame should be inspected and cleaned according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Worn, damaged, loose, or contaminated components should be replaced before continued use.

Manual propulsion and caregiver assistance

The wheelchair includes large rear wheels with handrims for user propulsion and push handles for caregiver assistance.

Wheel locks are intended to hold the stationary wheelchair in position. They must not be used to slow the wheelchair while it is moving.
